Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This page is a plain-English run-through of what we collect when you use AfroDatin and what we do with it.

1. What we collect

• Account info: email, phone (if you give it), name, date of birth, gender and location.
• Profile content: photos, bio, interests, preferences, voice intro and your verification ID (stored encrypted).
• How you use the app: matches, likes, messages, calls, events and quiz answers.
• Device basics: IP address, device model, operating system, app version and push token.

2. What we use it for

• Running your account and helping you find people you might click with.
• Keeping the app safe: catching fraud, abuse and underage accounts.
• Processing payments and subscriptions through Flutterwave.
• Sending account emails and, only if you opt in, the occasional marketing email.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your data. The only parties we share it with are the providers we need to run the app — hosting, payments, email, AI — and they're bound by strict confidentiality agreements.

4. Your rights

You can access, export or delete your account whenever you want from Settings. For anything else, email privacy@afrodatin.com and a real person will reply.

5. Retention

We hold on to your data for as long as your account is open. After you delete it, we remove everything within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep certain records (for example, around fraud or payments).

6. Children

AfroDatin is strictly for people 18 and older. Any account we suspect belongs to a minor is removed straight away.
